Challenge 45- Totally random picks duuuude.

Hiya!!
Michelle here with this week's Get Picky challenge.
Every month the teams switch picking and scrapping duties.
Random scrap madness usually ensues.

This is usually the challenge that freaks me out the most so I've learned to relax and let the materials take me where they may.

Here is the list for this month:
Kat- Kraft cardstock
Marie- a photo of yourself
Kerry- 3 of something
Jolanda- Masking and something Red
Tamara-
Cheryl W- something metal
Celina- something lucky
Misty- fabric
Ashley- green paint
Kim- something pleated
Mandy- stitching- handmade or faux

It's GO time team! Slap up some page luv right here:
I love the "get picky"challenge!! I think I got all of it this time. I have a kraft cardstock, which I sprayed with green and red mist on two different masks/stencils. I have a photo of myself, not a very good one maybe, but I'm there... ;-) And that's not very common...
I have two charms, one with a peacemark, and one horseshoe, that's metall and luck. The ribbon is pleated and around the photo I made stitches with a pen! Almost forgot about the three things... The flags of course! And then I painted three of the green spots with crackle accents just because.
Tadaaa!

Stencil Experiment #1
So I pushed through with this page even though I didn't like the colors. I like the kraft
and I LOVE the effect the Tattered Angels mist has on the paper but the final brown/green palette
is too dark for my tastes. I think my favorite details are the gold drips- sometimes it pays to make "mistakes".
I'm going to try that again. The cameras are from my absolute favorite paper ever- Echo Park's This and That.
I could put those in every single thing I make. I hit every item on the list. The pleated
ribbon and staples were me realizing I missed items on the list. :) I also did a lot of faux border stitching but I
was very haphazard about it so I covered most of it up. My lucky item are the dandelions.

I used all the pickys except for the kraft card stock. My dh and I took these pics on our anniversary at the movie theater, when we went to see "The Vow". There are 3 buttons and also 3 leaves. I did some brick wall masking and used some red mist among many other colors. The brads have metal frames. My lucky piece is the date, itself on the ticket stubs, Feb 29th, 2012 (our 2nd anniversary of 8 years). For the fabric I used cheesecloth which I misted. There is a lot of different types and shades of green paint throughout this page. The film strip is pleated. Fortunately, I was lucky, this Bo Bunny paper came with faux stitching already. So there you have it!!! I did so much painting, misting, inking, stamping, etc...it all just started to blur together. This is something quite unique/different for me. I think I really came out of the box for this one.

Amy

I think I managed to get EVERYTHING on the page this time, and that makes me super happy. This photo is an "outtake" from a photo shoot I did with my family, trying to get a good Christmas card photo. My lens was being a problem (it's "dead" now), so the focus was off, but I still love what we ended up with. The "lucky" choice by Celina was super cool, especially since I had these Irish themed embellies. :)

TAG!!! You're it!
Link us up and win something pretty. Use the Linky post on the upper right hand corner. If it ain't there just leave us a note- we will hook it up.

Thanx!
