Challenge 50

Hello, Punky Scrappers!  We are FINALLY back with a challenge!  Woo-hoo!

Today the challenge is to use this picture as your inspiration piece:

Here is what the team did:

Jolanda

I was inspired by the frames and the sketch/set up of this...I love the arty feel of it.

Marie/Mison

Sara
The colors and the golden frames inspired me! I used two different iPhone-apps for my photo. The background was created with distress stain on a stencil, then I stamped the rings using two different-sized bottles and distress ink pads in two colors.  The buttons laid on my desk from when I cleaned my closet the other day, of course I saved the buttons when I threw my old clothes away...

The design of the inspiration photo inspired me to add the reflection of the larger photo at the bottom; to add the splatters, frames and stamping; and to use a kraft paper background.

I loved the 2 clusters of mirrored elements in the sketch most. I tried it but I got
stuck so I went with this solution instead. I'm thinking of redoing this
page as I'm not satisfied- it's amazing how complicated that sketch really is!
Stamps for Cocoa Daisy, Paper Source and Yellow Owl Workshop,
Pins from A Flair For Buttons, Paper from Basic Grey.

This was definitely a challenge, and I was fascinated with the elements on the sketch. Usually with a sketch, I follow it loosely, but in this case, I tried to follow it closer, because I had some things that worked perfectly. I definitely don't think the end result fit the vision I had for it , but I do think it's "funky punky."
